  • 1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 2 cups guacamole
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chopped black olives
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the refried beans with taco seasoning. Spread evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread the sour cream over the bean layer.
  3. Layer the guacamole over the sour cream.
  4. Pour the salsa over the guacamole.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the salsa.
  6. Top with chopped tomatoes, black olives, and green onions.
  7. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

  • To prevent watery layers, drain any excess liquid from the salsa and guacamole.
  • You can prepare this dip up to 24 hours in advance. Keep it covered and refrigerated.
  • For a firmer guacamole layer, you can mix a tablespoon of lime juice into your guacamole.
  • A 9×13 inch dish is ideal for this recipe, but a 10-inch round dish also works.
  • Consider this dip as part of your meal planning for easy party preparation.
