A sophisticated yet simple appetizer featuring sweet dates wrapped in crispy bacon, perfect for holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 24 pitted Medjool dates
  • 24 whole almonds (optional)
  • 24 strips bacon, halved

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. If using almonds, stuff one almond into each date.
  3. Wrap each date with a half-slice of bacon, securing with a toothpick if needed.
  4. Place the wrapped dates on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the dates are softened and slightly caramelized.
  6. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For an extra touch, stuff dates with a small piece of goat cheese or blue cheese before wrapping with bacon.
