Make this simple, sparkling champagne punch for your next celebration. It combines fresh fruit flavors perfect for holidays, brunches, or New Year’s Eve.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (750 ml) bottle chilled Champagne or dry sparkling wine
  • 1 cup chilled cranberry juice
  • 1 cup chilled orange juice
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/4 cup simple syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda or ginger ale, chilled
  • Fresh orange slices and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill all liquid ingredients thoroughly before starting.
  2. In a large punch bowl, combine the chilled Champagne, cranberry juice, and orange juice. Stir gently to mix.
  3. Add the frozen strawberries and fresh or frozen cranberries to the punch bowl. The frozen fruit acts as ice to keep the punch cold without watering it down.
  4. If you prefer a sweeter punch, stir in the simple syrup now. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
  5. Just before serving, slowly pour in the chilled lemon-lime soda or ginger ale. Stir very gently one last time to keep the bubbles.
  6. Garnish the punch bowl with fresh orange slices and mint sprigs. Serve immediately in glasses with some of the fruit from the bowl.

Notes

  • To make this a non-alcoholic version, substitute the Champagne with chilled white grape juice or sparkling white cider.
  • You can prepare the juice mixture (cranberry, orange, syrup) up to 4 hours ahead. Add the Champagne and soda just before guests arrive.
  • For an elegant presentation, freeze cranberries and orange slices in a large ice ring instead of using loose frozen fruit.
