Create a showstopping honey glazed ham for your holiday feast. This recipe features a simple, sticky-sweet glaze that caramelizes beautifully, ensuring a juicy and flavorful centerpiece.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 fully cooked ham (about 810 pounds), spiral-cut recommended
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Place the ham on a rack in a roasting pan. If your ham is not spiral-cut, score the fat in a diamond pattern.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg until well combined.
  4. Brush about half of the glaze over the ham.
  5. Bake for 1 hour, basting with the remaining glaze every 20 minutes.
  6. Continue baking until the internal temperature reaches 140°F (60°C), about 15-20 minutes per pound total cooking time.
  7. Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.

Notes

  • For an extra moist ham, you can tent it loosely with foil during the first hour of baking.
  • Leftovers can be used in sandwiches, salads, or casseroles.
