- 6 large jalapeños
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 6 slices bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes. You can wear gloves to avoid skin irritation.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Spoon the cream cheese mixture evenly into each jalapeño half.
- Top each stuffed jalapeño with crumbled bacon.
- Place the jalapeño poppers on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the jalapeños are tender and the filling is bubbly and lightly golden.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- For a spicier popper, leave some of the seeds in the jalapeños.
- You can substitute cheddar cheese with Monterey Jack or a pepper jack for extra heat.
- These can be prepped ahead and baked just before serving.
- Consider these a great alternative to traditional meal planning for your next party.
