Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (25 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. If using ground meat, cook the beef or sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain off any excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the marinara sauce, water, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Stir well.
  4. If you cooked meat, add the cooked meat to the sauce mixture and stir to combine.
  5. Pour half of the sauce mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  6. Arrange the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
  7. Pour the remaining sauce mixture evenly over the ravioli.
  8. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese evenly over the top.
  11. Return the dish to the oven, uncovered, and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the casserole is heated through.
  12. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before serving.
