Ingredients
Scale
3–4 lbs pork spare ribs or baby back ribs
1/4 cup your favorite dry rub for pork ribs
1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 275 degrees F.
Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs if present.
Generously coat both sides of the ribs with your dry rub.
Wrap the ribs tightly in aluminum foil.
Place the foil-wrapped ribs on a baking sheet.
Bake for 3 hours.
Carefully remove the ribs from the foil. Discard the liquid.
Brush the ribs with BBQ sauce.
Return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, for 15-20 minutes, or until the sauce is sticky and slightly caramelized.
For extra char, you can finish the ribs under the broiler for 1-2 minutes, watching them closely to prevent burning.
Check for tenderness by gently bending a section of the ribs; they should be pliable and meat should pull away from the bone easily.
Notes
You can also finish the ribs on a grill for a smoky char.
These ribs reheat well, making them great for meal prep.
Experiment with different dry rubs and BBQ sauces to find your favorite flavor combination.
