Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 cup cream, heavy
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup red pepper jelly
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional topping)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease an oven-safe serving dish.
In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, heavy cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until the ingredients are smooth and fully combined.
Spread the cheese mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
Spoon the red pepper jelly over the top of the cheese mixture. Spread it gently to cover the surface.
Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly around the edges.
If using, sprinkle the crumbled bacon over the top immediately after removing it from the oven.
Serve warm with crackers, pretzels, or vegetable sticks.
Notes
For a make ahead appetizer, assemble the dip (without the jelly topping) up to 24 hours in advance. Cover and refrigerate. Add the jelly and bake when ready to serve.
If you are planning meals for the week, this dip is a great savory snack to pair with a healthy meal plan.
Use your favorite brand of pepper jelly; jalapeño or habanero jelly works well for extra heat.
