Ingredients
Scale
2 oz Vodka
1 oz Freshly Brewed Espresso, chilled
0.5 oz Coffee Liqueur (like Kahlua)
0.5 oz Peppermint Schnapps
0.5 oz Simple Syrup
Crushed peppermint candies, for rimming
3 Coffee beans, for garnish
Instructions
Prepare your martini glass by moistening the rim with a lime wedge or water, then gently press the rim into a plate of crushed peppermint candies. Set the glass aside.
Combine the vodka, chilled espresso, coffee liqueur, peppermint schnapps, and simple syrup into a cocktail shaker filled with ice.
Seal the shaker tightly and shake hard for about 15 to 20 seconds until the shaker is very cold and a thick layer of foam forms on top.
Strain the mixture into your prepared martini glass.
Garnish the drink by floating three coffee beans on the foam surface. Serve immediately.
Notes
For a richer foam, ensure your espresso is freshly pulled and still slightly warm when added to the shaker, even if you chill the other liquids first.
If you want a chocolate peppermint bark flavor, lightly drizzle chocolate syrup inside the glass before pouring the cocktail.
If you do not have simple syrup, you can substitute it with 0.5 oz of a creamy liqueur like Bailey’s for a richer texture.
