- 1.5 pounds Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Roast for 15 minutes.
- Add the chopped bacon to the baking sheet with the Brussels sprouts.
- Continue roasting for another 10-15 minutes, or until the sprouts are tender and caramelized, and the bacon is crispy.
- If using, drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispy sprouts, ensure they are dry before tossing with oil.
- You can add the bacon halfway through roasting to prevent it from becoming too dark.
- This recipe is a great option for meal planning.
