Make this comforting Sour Cream Beef Noodle Casserole for a satisfying, easy weeknight dinner. This recipe combines seasoned ground beef, tender egg noodles, and a rich, creamy sour cream sauce, baked until bubbly.

  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, plus extra for topping
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions until tender but still firm. Drain the noodles well and set them aside.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain off any excess grease.
  4. Stir the cooked beef and onion mixture into the skillet with the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, 1 cup of cheddar cheese, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is combined.
  5. Fold the drained egg noodles into the beef and sour cream mixture until they are evenly coated.
  6. Transfer the entire mixture to your prepared baking dish. Spread it into an even layer.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the top of the casserole.
  8. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the casserole is heated through and the cheese on top is melted and lightly golden brown.
  9. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes before you serve it.
