- 1 can (16 ounces) refried beans
- 1 packet taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 container (8 ounces) sour cream, divided
- 1 packet (1 ounce) ranch seasoning mix
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup guacamole
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- Toothpick
- In a small bowl, mix refried beans, taco seasoning, and water. Spread evenly in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine 1/2 cup of the sour cream with the ranch seasoning mix. Spread this mixture over the refried beans.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the sour cream layer.
- Spread the guacamole over the cheese layer.
- In a small bowl, mix the remaining sour cream with a few drops of black food coloring (optional, for a darker web).
- Using a piping bag or a resealable plastic bag with a corner snipped off, pipe concentric circles of the sour cream mixture onto the guacamole layer.
- Drag a toothpick from the center of the dip outwards through the sour cream circles to create a spiderweb design.
- Top with chopped tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped green onions.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips.
Notes
- For a spookier effect, you can place a plastic spider in the center of the web.
- If you don’t have black food coloring, regular sour cream will still create a visible web.
- This dip is best served chilled.
