Make a fun, family-friendly dinner by combining taco flavors with pizza using a flaky crescent roll crust. This quick recipe is perfect for weeknights or game day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (8 count) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 packet (1 ounce) taco seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup refried beans, warmed
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican blend cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 12-inch pizza pan or line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it onto the prepared pan, forming a crust. Pinch the seams together to seal. Bake the crust for 8 to 10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from the oven.
  3. While the crust bakes, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain off any excess grease.
  4. Stir in the taco seasoning mix and water according to the seasoning packet directions. Simmer for 5 to 7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Spread the warmed refried beans evenly over the partially baked crescent roll crust.
  6. Spoon the seasoned ground beef mixture over the beans.
  7. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the meat layer.
  8. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for another 10 to 12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the crust edges are golden brown.
  9. Remove the taco pizza from the oven. Top immediately with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and salsa.
  10. Slice and serve warm with a dollop of sour cream, if desired. This is a great easy pizza night idea.

Notes

  • For a crispier crust, you can pre-bake the dough for 10 minutes before adding toppings.
  • You can use pre-cooked ground turkey or shredded chicken instead of ground beef for this ground beef pizza dinner variation.
  • For a Mexican inspired pizza feel, add sliced black olives or pickled jalapeños before baking.
