Ingredients
Scale
8 ounces soft goat cheese (chèvre), room temperature
2 tablespoons heavy cream or milk
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon honey, plus more for drizzling
1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, chopped
1 teaspoon fresh rosemary, chopped
Instructions
Place the room temperature goat cheese, heavy cream, olive oil, salt, and pepper into the bowl of a food processor.
Process the mixture for 1 to 2 minutes, scraping down the sides as needed, until the cheese is completely smooth and airy. If the mixture is too thick, add cream, one teaspoon at a time, until you reach a light, spreadable consistency.
Transfer the whipped goat cheese spread to a shallow serving bowl.
Drizzle the top evenly with 1 tablespoon of honey.
Sprinkle the chopped fresh thyme and rosemary over the honey.
Serve immediately with your favorite crackers, toasted baguette slices (crostini spread), or fresh vegetables for dipping.
Notes
For a festive holiday appetizer, substitute the fresh herbs with 2 tablespoons of dried cranberries and 1 tablespoon of chopped pecans or pistachios sprinkled on top.
If you do not have a food processor, you can use a stand mixer with the whisk attachment, but you may need to beat the mixture longer to achieve a smooth texture.
This creamy goat cheese dip tastes best when served within a few hours of making it.
